Degree: A three- or four-year bachelor's degree from a recognised institute or university. The minimum is a CGPA on the 10-point scale; the percentage applies only where no CGPA is awarded, and MNIT gives its own formula for converting one to the other. Entrance test: A valid score in one of CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT or MAT, declared before the application deadline; only one score is counted. For the 2026–28 batch: CAT November 2025, GMAT December 2025 to April 2026, XAT January 2026, CMAT 2026, or MAT from September 2025. Final-year students: May apply with a certificate from their institution in MNIT's format; admission depends on meeting the minimum when the result is declared. Work experience: Not required; fresh graduates may apply. Reserved seats: The 75 seats are split Open 32, EWS 7, OBC-NCL 20, SC 11 and ST 5 under Government of India rules, with 5% more for candidates with disabilities over and above the intake. A floor to be considered — not the score that got admitted.

Offer
MNIT's comprehensive score for the MBA 2026–28 (the same as for 2025–27). Every applicant who meets the minimum and applies by the deadline is called to the personal interview (held online in 2026); no test-score shortlist is published. The test score is a scaled percentile: CAT or GMAT × 1/2.5 (up to 40), CMAT or XAT × 0.9/2.5 (up to 36), MAT × 0.8/2.5 (up to 32). Academic record: up to 10 points for graduation marks in four bands and 5 for a two-year PG degree (3 for a one-year PG diploma). Work experience: from 1 point for 6–12 months to 5 points for 31 months or more of full-time work after the bachelor's degree. Offers follow category-wise merit lists.
