The clock runs on Percentyl's server, not in your browser, so closing the tab or refreshing the page does not stop it. A section cannot be left early, and a section that has ended cannot be reopened. The next section unlocks only when the full 40 minutes have elapsed, and then starts automatically. Each mock can be attempted once, ever — there is no retake.
