CAT 2026 edit window: only photo, signature and test city can be changed

IIMs have confirmed that a very short edit window will be made available to registered CAT 2026 applicants after the registration window closed. The exact dates have not been announced on the official CAT website yet, so watch https://iimcat.ac.in rather than relying on dates circulating elsewhere.

Only three fields can be edited, if required: your photograph, your signature, and your test city preferences. Nothing else in the application form can be changed.

The edit window is valid only for candidates who paid the applicable registration fee and registered successfully for CAT 2026 within the specified deadline. If you did not complete registration and payment, the edit window does not apply to you.

A practical note on test city preferences: CAT 2026 is being held in around 170 cities and you could pick five. Once a centre is actually allotted to you, no change is permitted, so the edit window is your last chance to revise city preferences.

Keep checking the official CAT website for the announcement. Several coaching and news sites are publishing expected dates for this window, but none of those are confirmed by the IIMs.
