CAT 2026 fee payment window extended to 24 September, 5 PM — registration itself is closed
If you completed CAT 2026 registration by 22 September but have not paid, you can pay the fee until 5 PM on 24 September 2026.
The IIMs have extended the CAT 2026 fee payment window by two days. The new deadline to pay is 24 September 2026 at 5:00 PM IST.
This extension is only for candidates who already completed their registration by the registration deadline of 22 September 2026, 5:00 PM. There is no extension of the registration deadline itself, so new applications are not being accepted.
The CAT 2026 application fee is Rs 2,700 for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates and Rs 1,350 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
If you registered but have not paid, log in to your CAT 2026 candidate account and complete the payment before 5:00 PM on 24 September 2026. An application without a completed fee payment will not be considered. After this, the next milestones are the admit card download beginning 4 November 2026 and the CAT 2026 exam on Sunday, 29 November 2026.
