MICA Ahmedabad opens PGDM and PGDM-C 2027 admissions, with entry through MICAT plus CAT, XAT or GMAT
MICA 2027 admissions are open. You need a CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT score plus MICAT, and scores must be updated by 30 January 2027.
MICA Ahmedabad has opened admissions for its 2027 intake, including the two-year full-time residential PGDM-C (Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications) and the PGDM.
PGDM-C has an intake of 180 seats and focuses on strategic marketing, brand management, marketing communications, media and consumer insights. The PGDM places greater emphasis on analytics, strategy and AI, with Business Analytics and Consulting as a compulsory specialisation, and has 60 seats. MICA notes that Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation cut-offs may be higher for PGDM candidates. Indicative PGDM-C fees are Rs 29.50 lakh, subject to revision.
Every candidate must have taken at least one of CAT, XAT or GMAT. The accepted versions are CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT from 2025 onwards. You select your score options in the online application form, and MICA requires you to update your CAT score, XAT registration number or GMAT score on its website on or before 30 January 2027. For XAT you only need to give the registration number and MICA collects the score from XLRI.
All candidates are then assessed on MICAT, the MICA Admission Test, which has three sections: a psychometric test, a descriptive test, and an aptitude test covering divergent and convergent thinking, verbal ability, and quantitative ability and data interpretation. MICAT is held in close to 50 cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Patna and Guwahati.
The application fee is Rs 2,500, plus Rs 500 per additional programme, payable if you are shortlisted for interview. Eligibility is a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA, recognised by the Association of Indian Universities; final-year students can apply and must submit a certificate from their institution, with the degree certificate due by 30 June 2027.
