I'm currently pursuing B.com (2nd Year), I want to do CFA but can't only depend on that because obviously clearing a professional Exam is not so easy. Point is I want to give CAT Exam but also want to give CFA exam in 2027. It feels so heavy to choose one, Like if I choose CAT, it feels like a step back from CFA and Vice Versa. I know to Crack both of them in same time with my regular college is very difficult. Also I don't want to sit home after my graduation preparing for something. Everything feels so messed up right now that I'm not able to come to a Final Conclusion.

CFA level 1 takes 300h max so u can do it with college by 2h every day & it will get done in 5 months.

Don't worry let's sort it out together.
It's definitely doable, many of my batch mates at IIM Ahmedabad did the same. Here's how you do it -
The key is to realize not everything is a priority at the same time:
- IIMs and other colleges only count your college marks till the semester you'll have result of while filling up the form i.e. 4th sem. So, after 2nd year you can take your college a little lighter (assuming it is a 3-year degree).
- CFA can be managed alongside college if you give it a few hours per day. The concepts are related to your curriculum so would be easier this way. But, rn it is not the priority. You will have ample time after CAT (Nov onward) and most of my batch mates prepared for CFA at this time.
- CAT can be your priority right now if you're taking this year's exam.
So, to summarize:
Right now: CAT + College After 4th sem: Only CAT After Nov: CFA + College
Let me know if this makes sense? And feel free to ask anything else ❤️
