So I have tried every possible solution everyone recommends, and somehow I am not getting them right even after solving multiple questions. When people say the opening sentence never starts with "hence" or "although" or it goes from general to specific, I see many example questions of the exact words being used as opener sentences. Though I am able to figure out the mandatory pairs and the explanation for those questions is mentioned as a different writing styl e or that is how CAT confuses us , is there any concrete way in which i can actually get through these ?
hey! honestly those opener rules are just shortcuts, CAT breaks them all the time so dont rely on them too much
try this:
- summarise each sentence in 3-4 words first - ind the pairs using pronouns, connectors, repeated ideas - join pairs into chunks then see which chunk can stand on its own as the start - read the whole thing once to check it flows
do CAT PYQ PJs and note why u got each wrong one wrong. it'll click in few weeks, keep going!
