They're still relevant. The issue is people think they should be at par with CAT level (trickiness level). But, the books are meant to be used for foundations building. Level 1 is for that. Level 2 is for better quality of questions and what CAT often asks. And Level 3 is to push you to try harder. And, those questions even if they come in CAT are often recommended to be skipped.
