How to Attempt more in VARC while maintaining Accuracy
Asked by Kedar Dave on 2026-06-28 in CAT Prep
Currently, in 40 mins, I am able to attempt 14-16 questions only at max (want to attempt at least 20), and doing that means my accuracy takes a hit. Generally, I have decent to good accuracy in VARC and can attempt one RC in avg 8-9 mins, but when giving mock or Sectional, somehow I panic so much

Keep practicing more and stay relaxed. Keep yourself calm and don't think that I have to attempt 20 questions, that'll put pressure on you and you'll lose efficiency and speed.

14-16 questions is a really really good attempt. focus more on accuracy rather than number of questions. try practicing with a timer always to habituate yourself with the environment
