S=d/t;
Take 7pm(19hrs) and 2pm(14hrs) according to railway time… actually, this is best approach if qn have this “pm & am”!
40kmph=d/(19-x)
60=d/(14-x)
Equating both,
d= 40(19-x) = 60(14-x)
x=4; this is 4am
Now at 60kmph or 40kmph he takes 10hrs(4am to 2pm)and 15hrs(4am to 7pm) respectively.
Take any one time info and solve for d=600km
Now to reach at 5pm ie; 13hrs
S=600/13=46.154km/hr
