Can I crack CAT 2026 in 8 months with weak Quant and low academics?

Hi everyone, I’m currently in my 4th semester of B.Com from a government college, and my academic performance so far hasn’t been very strong. I’m planning to attempt CAT 2026, but I’m starting my preparation from scratch now. My biggest concern is Quant — I’m very weak in it and honestly have almost no basics right now. I’m also unsure if ~8 months of preparation would be enough for someone at my level. My goal is not necessarily IIMs, but to get into a decent MBA college. Any honest advice, strategies, or similar experiences would really help. Thanks in advance!

It can be done. My math is also weak but last year many people shared experiences they clearedit with regular practice.

You can get in, quant can be strengthened with enough practice and exposure to a variety of questions, but it takes time. So, just be patient. Don't feel demotivated if you're unable to solve questions, it is pretty normal at this stage.
