Can I Improve CAT Quant in 3 Months?

Asked by Aayushi on 2026-07-31 in CAT Prep

Hey guys, please guide me. My Quant is very weak because my math basics are only average. I take a lot of time to understand one concept, and I can't solve many questions. What should I do? What topics should I study and practice to get a good percentile and get into an IIM? Are 3 months enough? If yes, please suggest the important topics and the best way to practice. Thank you!

Yes 3 months are truly enough for getting good percentile in cat . focus on the high weightage topics in quants like arithmetic, algebra, geometry. Solve more and more questions from these topics.

Yes, 3 months can make a huge difference specially for quants which requires a lot of practice. Start with grasping a concept and try to immediately solve 4-5 ques of same concept and logic. after u done with lets say for example a chapter do like 40-50 ques of LOD-1 to master it. only go till LOD-2 if u feel confident or else just practice and practice . Watch nd learn the concept and solve questions. That's it.

Yes 3 months are sufficient. Focus deeply on Arithmetic and Algebra. Get very good at these two topics. Watch the lectures and practice previous year questions properly. And also you can use other resources for practice..Don't be demotivated if you're not able to solve. Watch the solution and understand the logic and application. Over time you'll start solving nicely.
