How can I improve my QA, LRDI and VARC scores in CAT mocks?

Hi everyone,

I am facing a strange issue. In class, I'm able to solve almost every question, understand new concepts quickly and apply them without much difficulty. However, when I take mocks, I somehow don't know where to start or how to approach the paper effectively.

QA

- Arithmetic is currently my weakest area. I know I need more practice, but where should I practice from?
- How do you verify that your approach is actually correct? In topics like P&C and Probability, there are often multiple approaches, and they all seem valid while solving. How do you know whether your logic is correct before checking the solution?
- Similarly, for Modulus or case-based questions, how do you ensure that you haven't missed any cases?

LRDI

- I can usually solve 1.5–2 sets with almost 100% accuracy, but after that I get stuck. How can I improve my set selection or increase the number of sets I solve in a mock?

VARC

- I usually attempt 15+ questions, but my accuracy is low. While selecting an option, I'm usually quite confident that I haven't missed anything in the passage. However, during analysis, I realize that only about 10–12 of my answers are correct.
- How can I improve my accuracy without reducing my attempts too much?

If anyone has faced a similar situation and managed to overcome it, I would really appreciate your advice. Any suggestions on practice resources, mock strategy or analysis techniques would be very helpful.
