I graduated in 2026 with a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Data Science) from a Tier-3 college with a 9+ CGPA.
10th - 91.4%
12th - 94.4%
I've spent the past year building my analytics skills but haven't been able to land a job yet.
I'm now considering going all-in for CAT 2026, but there are only about 4 months left.
Is it realistically possible to score 99+ percentile starting now with full-time preparation? I'd love to hear from people who have done it or know someone who has.

You have an excellent profile but that actually matters after CAT. Considering 4 months timeline, it would be quite difficult but not impossible. If you have strong basics and a clear understanding and familiarity of the CAT exam , you can get 99+ , but it won't be easy. CAT prep of around 6-7 months is considered ideal for a great CAT score. Start prepping really well from Day-1 and you can actually reach very close to your dream score.

Try spending atleast 6-7 hours of your day to your prep. Cover high value topics and make sure you start giving mocks as soon as you have covered your basics. The more mocks you give will help you identify your weak points and focus on that. 4 months might put you on the edge but it all depends on you how much time you are ready to invest. You have excellent profile. Focus on your concepts and revolving your preparation around mocks.

Your scores are great! Math background - means your basics are already clear.
It will give you an edge in the QA section.
If you have prepared for some Reasoning practice for NTA, Olympiads etc. (it will help as well - if not that's okay too)
With full time prep, you can nail it. Just don't quit and you'll score amazingly. Can't say much about 99+ that totally depends on your hardwork. But anything is possible.
All the best Gunjan!
