CAT form – Month/Year of Completion confusion

Asked by Anonymous on 2026-09-21 in CAT Prep

I’ve already submitted my CAT application and wanted to clarify something.

For Class 10 & 12, I entered March because that’s when my final exams were completed and the academic session ended but result was declared late and also the marsheets have later dates. For my BBA, I entered April 2026 because my final exams were completed then and considered that the end of the session. The results were declared later in May.

So, for CAT, does “Month/Year of Completion” refer to the month when the session/final exams ended or the result was declared?
(results are often declared later, and even the date mentioned on the marksheet is often later because the marksheets are printed/issued afterward.)

Since I’ve already submitted the form, can I leave it as it is if I entered the session-ending month? Could this cause any issue during verification?

Thanks!
