hi buddy i was also at you place once . i am also preparing for cat so whatever i will share that will be based on my experience . for quant i also referred to mba pathshala from there i could understand better what i usually do in quant it that i choose a topic for example average i first of all watch the lecture and understand the concepts different types of question aand for every type i make notes on how to tackle such question after being done with watching lecture solving all the question from mba pathshala lecture and making all important notes on concept i revise those concepts i try to solve questions of LOD 1 from arun sharma off course at first go even i was not able to solve question smoothly but what i did was i kept trying i kept analyzing which concept will applied where and then eventually after lots of effort i became able to solve question and in each and every chap[ter you are going to face this as the concepts that you learn will be absorbed by your mind as you practice more and more and eventually will become better
FOR DILR what you need to do is that firstly become aware of all the fundamentals by solving easiest question from the topic and watching video about rules and how to approach the problem of different topic . after having done with thise phase raise your level of question and solve more and more sets from diverse topic and try to analyze which approach you could use for different problem what is your weak area what concepts you lack and keep on improving in this way take as much as you need in beginning and with time try to be faster and most important of all keep lots of patience as i am also preparing so i know how you feel on being unable to solve questions but anything is built one brick at a time so just keep working and improving hope this will help you
