Guidance Needed for CAT 2026 Preparation

Asked by Akshat Goyal on 2026-07-08 in CAT Prep

Hi Shweta Di!

I'm preparing for CAT 2026 through self-study, and your website has honestly been one of the biggest reasons my preparation has stayed on track. Thank you so much for creating it.

I've solved every single practice question available on the dashboard for QA, DILR, and VARC, and I still solve the Daily Challenges every day. I even reached Rank 1 on the leaderboard with a 43-day streak, which kept me really motivated.

I've also started taking Career Launcher mocks. Right now I'm giving around 3 mocks a week, and I spend 5–6 hours analyzing each one because I know that's where most of the learning happens.

The only thing I'm confused about is what I should do apart from mocks. Since I've already finished all the questions on your platform, I'm not sure how to continue improving while maintaining the same momentum.

Should I solve more QA/DILR questions from other sources, practice additional RCs and VA, read newspapers or long-form articles, revise concepts, or focus on something else?

I don't want to practice randomly. I want to make sure whatever time I'm putting in has the maximum impact on my CAT preparation.

Would really appreciate your guidance on what an ideal routine should look like at this stage. Thank you, Di! 😊

Hey Akshat, firstly, kudos to your hard work!

Not sure if you'd believe it, but when we saw your profile on the leaderboard, we got so inspired that a student is putting in this much effort consistently, so thank you for lifting our spirits too.

Would definitely recommend you to start taking mocks and analyzing them well - make sure you know exactly why each of those 68 questions was right or wrong (spend at least 2-3 hrs on analysis).

Then whichever section you find weaker, pick a few topics and solve its questions specifically. There is a lot of material under resources section that you can use from other websites:

- https://percentyl.in/resources/mocks

The most important source is going to be past-year questions. Just remember not to solve questions at random and instead analyze and pick a handful of chapters to improve every time.

Best of luck! ❤️

Hi Akshat, did you prepare only through this website? Also, if you can tell, how did you solve your doubts?
