I'm a zoology graduate myself. And that earns you extra advantage for being a non-engineer. MBA schools love to have diversity. The competition for engineers is rather very high but for us non-engineers it's a bit low. So it's definitely worth it, have no doubts regarding that. And no you're not late. 5 to 6 months is enough for CAT if you study consistently for 4-6 hours everyday as it is an aptitude based test. You're not mugging up a lot of syllabus as you do in NEET. It's all about clearing concepts and practice. There are three sections- First VARC- Google and start reading Aeon essays and also solve previous year RCs alongwith the RCs that are available in this very platform, You'll find so many RCs in other places as well. Once you get good in RC, then start incorporating Verbal ability. And then we have QUANTS- For these master Arithmetic and Algebra...alongwith number system....and you'll be good. Whether you do geometry and modern math, that is entirely upto you. And for LRDI- Arrangements, Games and tournaments, Tables and Charts....master these topics. Use the resources provided in this platform and you won't face any issues. For Arithmetic, Algebra and Number system- Search up MBA pathshala in youtube anf you'll find enough content. Stay confident and consistent, mate.
