So, here's how I started.
- Many of the hints revolved around Italian.
- My starting point was 'Italian sits 2nd to the left of sana and Nadia sits 2nd to the left of Italian'
- Another hint said that Italian is neighboring to KI and English (actual places of them can't be concluded as of yet)
so on and so forth (it's hard to explain each step here)
But the main idea after you start with one point, for me it was the position of Italian, Nadia and Sana, you analyze the difference in spacing of people sitting.
Like Wren was 3rd to the left of Sicilian, Oleg was 3rd to the left of KI, RL was 3rd to the left of Sicilian, etc.
And subtly mark who can acquire the left and right place of certain someone (for eg - with hints we can conclude that if we fix Italian's position, KI and English position is also fixed, 'V' cannot be beside Italian, etc. this leaves us with less options to compare with)
One more example - Nadia doesn't specialize in Slav or French nor in Caro-Kann & KI and English are also not possible because they acquire immediate sides of Italian; this leaves us with Nadia - RL or Sicilian
And that's how pretty much you go around with the hints
