Mock analysis question

Asked by GP on 2026-09-02 in CAT Prep

Hello everyone. Can anyone please help me with the following:
- How to properly analyse mocks?
- If I am starting with mocks now, how many would be ideal weekly?
- Should I prioritise full length mocks or sectionals?

Any suggestion which is working for you would help. Thank you!

Start with 1–2 full length mocks a week after each mock don’t just look at the score check the questions you got wrong the ones you left but could’ve attempted and where you lost time try to identify 2–3 recurring issues and work on those before the next mock amd prioritise full length mocks and use sectionals in between to work on a particular weak section

if you are just starting, start by giving 1 mock every week, and revise it , prepare your own excel sheet , where you track every question that you got right, wrong and even the ones you left, your mock analysis should not take you more than 4 hours. Then next month onwards, you can give 2 mocks per week
