Hey Aastha - what you're facing is totally normal. I used to face this too. I could solve sets but not with the timer on.
One of the things I have started doing is I am aggressively taking LRDI sectional mocks. To practice my set selection - just focusing on the fact that was I attacking the right ones or not.
Apart from that what I have started doing is I time box every set that I attempt even in practice. I give myself 10-12 mins tops to crack the set. Even if I can get 1-2 questions that's fine. But I break my head for those 12 mins to figure it out, if I can, that't great, if I can't I move ahead. I look at the solution and see if there was a specific insight that I missed or didn't capture a key detail, or the fact that it was a really hard set and I selected the wrong one.
For practice what you can do is - pick 5 sets at random - open each in a new tab, give yourself 40 mins to solve them, whatever you can solve in that timeline attempt it, for the rest, solve them later. Progress might be slow initially but it'll work.
The more you practice with a timer to your head the better you'll train yourself to perform under pressure.
You got this!!
