Quants - Can solve while practice but not in mocks

Hi, I m preparing for CAT 2026 for last 3.5 months and since last 3 weeks i attempt a sectional mock of 1 section every day and 1 full mock a week, I m able to solve Quants Questions in live lectures, while solving from e-books and Resources but I m unable to solve same type of question when they come up in sectional test or full length mock, I think its because in mock we have all type of questions mixed up together and not a single topic, so can I better myself in mocks especially Quant, Pls Help with this

I have faced the same problem multiple times and i realised that it is happening because all questions are mixed and more importantly because of the timer in the mocks. looking at the timer ticking just shuts my brain and i cant think clearly anymore. and its easier to solve the same questions from resources because of no time limit. this happens because when we are practicing theres no timer and we aim to solve every question. the best way to go through this is consistency. keep giving full length mocks many times and pick only those questions which you can solve and leave the rest. in sectional mocks try to increase the number of attempts but do not focus on solving each and every question (speaking from personal experience) it surely gets better with time. remember, practice => solve all questions, mock => attempt only solvable ones
