RC UNDERSTANDING PROBLEM

Asked by Ankita on 2026-08-19 in CAT Prep

When I am solving moderate-to-easy RCs, I am getting almost everything correct. After solving around 50 RCs of this level, I can now understand the different types of questions and how to approach them.

However, my problem starts when the RC becomes difficult. In some difficult RCs, I am not even able to understand what the passage is actually about.

What should I do in such cases?

Many thanks!

ohhh actually sometimes same happens with me i dont try to understand it at all just try to decipher what the author is takling about his tone and stuff and according to this you can do option elimination if it matches with what author is talking and his tone then its right or else no ..... you have to practice hard rcs more like lod 4 or gmat level

Try to break down the rc , write down the points on a paper , understand the tone of the passage , try to summarize each paragraph first and then solve
