how to reduce RC solving time from 9-10 to 5-6 mins while maintaining accuracy?

Asked by aryan p on 2026-10-17 in CAT Prep

i see people who are able to solve the daily challenge RCs correctly within 5-6 minutes. my accuracy is decent too, but i end up taking about 9-10 minutes, finishing barely before the 10 mins mark. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ME?
most of the RCs are a tad bit jargon-heavy and are filled with complex sentences. how do you guys juggle reading speed while maintaining comprehension?

advice for para jumbles also welcome XD

much appreciated. thanks.

I think timed practice is the key. Don't try to understand every line perfectly, just focus on the main idea and author's tone. If a sentence feels too complex, move on instead of rereading it again and again. For PJ, try finding connected pairs first, it'll make the order easier to figure out.
