Asked by RS Rathoud on 2026-07-19 in CAT Prep

I want you all to tell me the exact time we need to dedicatedly deliver in CAT prep as a 2nd yr clg student who seldom studies for cat wats the exact answer for 1 yr/ 2yr or so as on internet people flaunt about 6 month prep which is somewhat not true, I want a experienced senior to clear my doubt 🙏🏻

If you have more than a year until your CAT exam, then my suggestion would be to indulge yourself in reading. Read as much literature as you can, novels, articles, Aeon essays, etc.
Because with consistent efforts you can improve your Quant and DILR ability, but VARC takes much more time comparatively.
So, as of now focus on reading more and improving your vocabulary.

Now! Always - the best time to start anything is NOW!

If you're all in - with full time preparation then this can work. If not (have a job or something keeping you occupied), then try 2027!

It needs 9 to 10 months, start small with 2 hours daily and aim for CAT 2027!
