✏️ Should We Launch Topic Tests?

i think u should put 2 types of test
1. Easy / Moderate Bothe 25-30 Questions With Time Counter
2. Hard 40-45 Que. With Time Counter

I think there should be 15 easy questions, 15 moderate questions and 5-10 hard questions per test for every chapter. Focus should be on quality of questions and not the quantity. The questions should cover every concept that is tested in the CAT exam.

And as for time per test- I think it should be 40-50 mins. And there should be atleast 2 tests per chapter.

Yes please. For each chapter: T1 test containing Easy + Medium; T2 for advanced level question. so that first we can go for the T1 of all topics and then move to T2. 30 -40 questions per test. Thankyou!

for each topic there should be 2-4 tests with mixed difficulty level questions so that it feels similar to actual cat exam. atleast 20 questions per test for 40 min long text duration...

maybe after that sectional mocks with questions from all topics of quant mixed again with varied difficulty levels. that would be really helpful!

On the exact same pattern of CAT-
1) 22-24 questions per test
2) 40 min
3) 2 level at least (medium and Cat replica)

Shweta Di, sorry I am putting this here, in between another discussion, but I feel here you'll be able to notice this quickly. So I want to tell you that if possible, please make the DAILY RCs more difficult, because the current ones that are coming every day are VERY EASY, particularly the OPTIONS are easily eliminable, it is boosting ego only, I am not getting stuck within 2 options, and in real I don't think I have high accuracy, also it does not currently reflect in my sectionals as well, so I am pretty sure that the current level of DAILY RC is very easy (Even when it says MED).

Topic wise tests would be great! I think 20-25 questions in 40-45 min with MIXED DIFFICULTY will be good as it will boost our question picking skills as well.

Di i think you should put 10- easy ques to build confidence , 10- moderate level questions and 10-hard level questions soo we can upgrade our questions level step by step in manner of one topic test in 40 min and can check our ability

24 question per test (8 easy, 8 mid, 8 difficult). 45 - 50 min per test . The difficulty of questions should be mixed so that a student finds out on their own , this method will help in identifying ques which should be done first and which in the end to score good. THERE SHOULD BE 2 OR 3 TESTS LIKE THIS FOR EACH TOPIC.

How about a daily target test of all sections?

I think it will help helpful to consider topic wise tests or sectional tests . 30 mins time i think is good for test.
Test could be in different level like in level 1 normal concept building questions.
Level 2 it's difficult than level 1 be like cat level.
In level 3 it's actually cat level exam. If we solve level 3 questions we get confident. I know cat exam is unpredictable but from level 3 test we get to know that from level 3 questions there is nothing to do more. Just practice on mistake that made, mocks and analysis of it.

Also with whatever everyone, I would love if you let us choose 2-3 chapters together.
for example, if i have completed 3 chapters( as in averages, PL, and progressions) this month, i would select those 3 chapters from tick box, i would select the number of questions i want, and according to the level of difficulty i choose, the timer would be set accordingly. I have been searching this type of feature in every website and cant find one.

that can be done in the backend by assigning each question the difficulty level and the time limit for each question and when the algorithm chooses that question for that specific test, it changes the overall time limit accordingly.

Time per test: 30 minutes per test.
Tests per chapter: 3 tests (Easy, Medium, Hard).

Like u can just 5 or 5 + tests per chapter each test containing 22 questions of CAT level type and for each test u can allot 40 mins

b. 1.5 to 2 mins per question to mirror actual CAT time pressure (approx. 20–25 mins total).
c. 5 tests per chapter (1 Easy, 2 Medium, 2 Hard). Quality over quantity—we just need enough to master the variations and learn selection strategy! d. Easy- Layer 1 questions only, Medium- Layer 2 questions, Hard- Layer 3/4 questions(multiple concepts) e. No need to launch more than 5 test per topic

Ma'am I think there should be atleast 3 test, all 3 test should have CAT level questions comprising easy, moderate and difficult which will give us a practice of eliminating the difficult one. Also there should be atleast 30 questions.

make it in cat formate sister like 22 questions from different chapters and topics with mixed level of difficulty to it so they can train for the pattern & question also helps in formulating & testing the stategy
