Skipping CAT this year

Asked by Anonymous on 2026-07-19 in CAT Prep

Hi Di,

I wanted to ask for your guidance regarding CAT. I have decided to skip CAT this year because I honestly haven't started my preparation yet, and with my average academic profile, I feel my chances of getting a good percentile and converting top colleges are quite low.

Instead of appearing unprepared, I'm thinking of using this entire year to prepare properly for CAT 2027, strengthen my basics, and build a better profile through internships, certifications, and other activities.

Do you think this is the right decision? Or should I still appear for CAT this year just for the experience? Please guide me. Your advice would really help me make the right choice.

Thank you, Di.

Hey, I honestly think you should give your best this year whatever the time left prepare hard. And if you are not satisfied with your results there will be next year for you.
