CAT tests your conceptual clarity, not how many questions per topic you have solved. If your concepts are clear, you'll be able to solve difficult questions as well and if not, then even the easy ones would feel difficult.
For difficult questions, try to sit with the problem for some time. Try all the possible ways you can remember and if you still don't arrive on the solution, just take 1 hint rather than looking at the solution entirely; because sometimes you can even solve a difficult question using the same way you solved an easy one difference is the language of difficult question is twisted.
