Rather than hard it was word-dense.
For dense passages like these, you can filter all the heavy(scientific) words and try to understand the message the author is trying to bring across.
I got 4/4 questions right, however, it took me 15 mins which is like 3 times my usual RC solving time(4-5 mins). So in real CAT, I would skip it or attempt if I got time remaining.
To be more familiar with these kind of passages since scientific/tech related passages hold a lot weightage in CAT, you can try reading articles on similar topics everyday.
It seems the topic jumps right into it because usually these passages are taken out of articles.
