Urgent: Only have SC Certificate in Kannada for CAT application (No English/Central copy)
Asked by Anonymous on 2026-09-07 in CAT Prep
Hey guys, I need some quick advice for my CAT 2026 registration.
I belong to the SC category, but my caste certificate is entirely in Kannada. I don't have an English or Central Government version ready, and the registration deadline is too close to get a new one printed.
1. Can I just upload my Kannada certificate for now, or will my application get rejected? 2. Is there an undertaking form I can use for SC candidates to submit the English copy later during interviews?
Has anyone faced this? Please let me know what the safest workaround is. Thanks!

IIMs require category certificates in the official Central Government format in English or Hindi. If your current certificate is in Kannada, apply for a Central format certificate from your local revenue authority immediately. During registration, you can upload an official undertaking stating you will submit the Central copy during interview verification.
