Do we need to prep for interview side by side with CAT?

When to start that prep or can we prep for CAT only for now and do it later. If yes when?

You don't need to. Most aspirants prepare for interviews after taking the CAT exam, there is ample time. You can keep reading news articles to keep yourself updated, that will be more than enough for now. Do build a strong profile though, that will help.
