Hi Shweta Ma'am,
I need some guidance regarding my CAT 2026 preparation strategy.
I have recently completed my Phase 1 (Foundation Phase). My preparation so far is:
• Quant: Arithmetic, Number System, and Algebra (Level 1 questions) • DILR: Level 1 sets • VARC: Level 1 practice
During this phase, I focused mainly on concept building and practice without strict time limits.
My preparation plan is:
Phase 2 (July–August): Skill-building and intermediate-level preparation Phase 3 (September–October): Advanced practice, mocks, and exam-oriented preparation November: Revision and final polishing
I am also planning to purchase IMS mocks in July and start: • 1 Full-Length Mock every week • Regular sectional tests for VARC, DILR, and QA
My questions are:
1. What should be my primary focus during Phase 2 (July–August)? 2. Since I have completed only Level 1 questions so far, should I now move directly to Level 2 and CAT-level questions? 3. How much time should I allocate to learning new topics versus solving practice questions? 4. What should an ideal weekly schedule look like during Phase 2? 5. How should I analyze mocks and sectional tests effectively? 6. What benchmarks should I aim for in mocks by the end of August? 7. What should be the main objectives of Phase 3 (September–October)?
I would be grateful if you could suggest a detailed roadmap for Phase 2 and Phase 3 based on my current preparation level.
