Clarification Regarding Graduation Discipline in CAT Application form
Asked by Anonymous on 2026-09-18 in General MBA Doubts
I have completed a 4-year B.Tech in Computer Engineering.
In my submitted CAT 2026 application, I selected:
Discipline: Others Other Discipline: Computer Engineering Graduation Stream: Engineering Could you please confirm whether this is OKAY , or whether I should have selected Engineering/Technology instead of Others in Discipline?
Do I need to fill another application form?

You are completely fine, and there is no need to fill out a new form. Selecting 'Others' to type your specific branch is just as acceptable as choosing 'Engineering/Technology'. The admissions team primarily looks at the 'Graduation Stream'—which you correctly set to 'Engineering'—for academic categorization. Your specific branch will simply be verified through your certificates during the document check stage.
