Clarification Regarding Validity of Digitally Signed Caste Certificate and Non-Availability of a Separate Manual Certificate/Additional Caste Entry Number

Certainly. Here is a detailed, formal version of the problem description, suitable for submitting to a government authority or grievance portal.

I would like to seek clarification regarding the requirement for an additional caste/entry number in connection with my caste certificate.

The caste certificate submitted by me was downloaded from the **official West Bengal Government Caste Certificate Portal** as a **digitally signed caste certificate**. The certificate has been issued through the present online system of the competent authority and contains the relevant details, including my caste name and the applicable resolution no.
I understand that the present West Bengal Government system provides digitally signed caste certificates for applicants to download through the official portal. The portal also provides a separate facility for the **digitisation of older/manual caste certificates**. However, these are two distinct processes. The digitisation facility is intended for older certificates that were originally issued manually, whereas my certificate has been issued/downloaded through the current system as a digitally signed certificate.

In this regard, I would like to clarify that I do not possess, and have not been provided with, any separate manually issued caste certificate containing an additional caste number, entry number, or similar reference number beyond the details appearing on my digitally signed certificate.

Therefore, if an additional caste/entry number is being sought during verification, I am unable to provide such a number because no separate manual certificate containing such a number is available to me. The certificate in my possession is the certificate issued to me through the official West Bengal Government portal by the competent authority.

I respectfully request the concerned authority to kindly verify the authenticity and validity of my digitally signed caste certificate directly through the official West Bengal Government Caste Certificate Portal, if required. I am willing to provide any other information, documents, certificate details, or verification particulars that may reasonably be required for establishing the authenticity of the certificate.

I would further request that my application/document verification should not be adversely affected merely because the digitally signed certificate does not contain an additional number that is applicable to older/manual certificates. The certificate contains the caste name and the relevant Government of India Ministry Resolution no, and it was obtained through the official government-issued digital certificate system.

I therefore request the concerned authority to kindly consider the digitally signed caste certificate as the valid certificate issued to me by the competent authority and to clarify whether any additional caste/entry number is actually mandatory f
