If your goal is clear to switch role, shift industry or faster growth then it remains a strong investment. If not then it can feel unnecessary.

I'll be honest - AI will replace a lot of work but try understanding the nature of that work. It is repetitive, optimisable, low-value execution that is being replaced. E.g. this website I made is via vibe coding (using AI). As a non-engineer, I am able to make this entire website from scratch in a few hours. But, who came up with what features to add based on user psychology, what students will need?
Yes, AI could have offered me suggestions, structure, features list etc. But, it would have been my job to understand which ones will have the most impact, it would still involve human judgement.
So no, AI will not replace managers, it will make them more powerful and make their lives easier by giving them tools and inputs to make better decisions. Someone will need to use AI to be able to get work done. And managers are far better equipped to do that since their role involves a lot of soft skills and dealing with other people.
The only caveat is - do it from strong institutes with solid alumni connect to get placements and keep yourself updated with AI. The degree doesn't matter as much as your learnings from it do.
