NCL-OBC CERTIFICATE

HI. so my father is in itbp. he is a head constable and his incocme over 8lpa. i checked online and it showed that i can get my ncl certificate signed. but the tehsildaar is saying i cant get it signed. can anybody confirm it please.

Income should be below 5 lakhs only then you would be able to claim NCL

Common misconception is that you won't get NC-OBC certificate if parent's salaray is more than 8LPA.. I used to believe this too..
But later came to know that it is the limit for Other income sources like Rental income/FD etc. The other income is considered, and it should be less than 8LPA.. Your father's job salary is not considered.

You are eligible only if ur father is in either Group C or D. and other income is < 8LPA

Get an income certificate and clearly mention about the other income. Some tahsildars might not be aware of this Other income concept.. Just research a little bit more and go.

my dad is also a gov. employee with income more than 8lpa still i get my NCL certificate. it is not dependend on income maybe. you just need cast certificate and ITR return or index 16 for it
