Your profile wont be the reason you donot get into an IIM

A lot of people here are focusing on the wrong things. Your profile wont be the deterrrent between you and an IIM, your marks and percentile will be.
Harsh words but thats the truth. One 8 or 7 wont ruin your chance to get into an IIM. Even with a 5 or 6 you could potentially land into one of BLACKI with proper workex.
However, none of this matters unless you score that 99 percentile first. So focus on the right things peeps, time is of the essence.

Nope mate. I disagree. Profile matters a lot. During shortlisting also and afterwards during campus placements also. I've seen students with 99.7 percentile and they don't get into BLACKI. So we all have to be realistic. But yes we cannot do anything about the profile now...so maximizing the preparation is the only thing we can do and if you land into BLACKI then good otherwise there are other good b-schools as well.
