“Will Private-to-Regular B.Com Cause Issues in MBA Admissions?”

Asked by Anonymous on 2026-09-13 in General MBA Doubts

I have completed my 1st year as a private mode student (students who only appear for exams and don’t attend regular classes) and now want to pursue my 2nd and 3rd years as a regular college student.

The University has informed me that in this case, my final marksheet will show only my 2nd and 3rd-year results, with CGPA calculated only on these years, while my 1st-year result will remain on a separate marksheet.

Would this be acceptable during document verification for MBA admissions at institutes like IIMs and for jobs, considering I would have to submit two separate marksheets instead of having all years results together?

I don’t think it should be an issue as long as the university officially recognises your degree and u have the marksheets for all 3 years just submit both during verification
