Hello, I am Sanika Dahiwal, a third-year Engineering student aspiring to pursue an MBA from an IIM. I scored 77% in 10th and 55% in 12th, and currently have an 8 CGPA, which I am working to improve. If I score above 95 percentile in CAT, would I still have a chance of getting into an IIM? How much will my school academics affect my chances?

IIM's specially look after your past grades and the capability, but with low 12th score, it's preferable to try some best b school who won't be strict in considering past academics like private ones

a lot also depends on which is your engineering college like is it tier 1 to 1.5? the thing is some IIMs dont consider grad scores but almost all give weightage to 10th and 12th marks you can look for good bschools which dont prioritise past grades at all and try to score 98-99 plus
