Is this a good strategy?

So i dropped the idea for giving CAT, Instead I'll prepare for MAHACET, SNAP and NMAT primarily and for backup I'll also attempt XAT, CMAT and ATMA.
The reason I'm not giving CAT is because I don't have a good 12th grade (64%) and 10th (74%), currently in 2nd year of BMS (4th sem) with average of 7.2 cgpa, im self studying currently, not thinking about coaching for now

I'm not looking for IIMs, but atleast a tier 2 college for 8LPA+

Is this a good choice, please give your opinion!

You're a non-engineer, so you can get into IIMs with the academic marks you have if you score a high CAT percentile. If you push your CGPA above 8 that will also help. There's FMS, IIM-L (doesn't consider 10th) and newer IIMs too. You can take other exams also.
