how much percentile should i target for tier-1 mba colleges?

hi this is Tikshan and i did my graduation in BTech CSE which i passed on Year 2024 July. So i was worried about by profile which is GEM with Academics 7/9/6 of 10th/12th(PCM)/UG .Also i have no work experience as i didn't got any job or internship .i did my UG final year 6 month project from my hometown in PUNJAB. Then from July 2024 to March 2025 i gave 2-3 govt exams and didn't cleared any then from April 2025 to December 2025 i got busy in my house renovation project and was curious about what direction should i move on .Then in Jan 2026 i came to another city for CAT2026 preparation but seeing other aspirants being diverse in profile i got worried about mine as i was with no work experience and with so much gap. Now i want to target best college for MBA kindly guide me

You're a GEM and it is very hard to get into top IIMs without a strong academic profile and/or work-ex. In your case it is highly unlikely to get in. Would suggest to target FMS instead or newer IIMs.
