I am a female, obc, engineering. 92/75/78 academics, currently in my third year of college and I will appear for CAT 2026 and no work ex but i have done an internship and participated in a 3month long contribution program called girlscriptsummerofcode. My vision for this summer is to do an internship or summer school, build a major project. But other than this i dont really have any club involvements in my resume (simply because im from a tier 3 college with no cultural exposure). I feel like my profile is especially weak and I've seen people say engineers with work ex are preferred over those who dont have work ex. Now this is sort of like my last and only option because i hate engineering and i dont wanna work in that field. Im at a serious rabbit hole, I dont wanna spend a year trying to prepare and then ultimately getting disappointed because my profile wasn't good enough and I got no call. What should I do to improve my profile more?

Your call isn't dependent on any of these achievements or activities. It is solely 10/12/grad/work-ex/CAT percentile - these 5 factors. If you can get your college marks above 80% you have a strong chance of making it to the top B-schools without work-ex also. Your category will also help. Target 97+ if grad marks get over 80.
