You've a good profile. Grad marks are little low but it's okay. And you're able to solve questions from each section without any prior preparation....that's a very good thing. You should definitely dedicate yourself to this. Study hard and score high....you'll have tons of opportunities in this field....so go for it.

you already have diversity points that can help in MBA admissions. If you're solving a DILR set without much preparation, that's a positive sign it suggests you have aptitude that can improve significantly with structured practice. If you're willing to put in consistent effort for the next year, CAT is a realistic opportunity and is worth pursuing before switching fields.
Choose Data Science/AI only if you're genuinely interested in building a technical career, not because it's trending. CAT gives you access to a wide range of management careers with potentially strong longterm returns, whereas AI/Data Science requires sustained technical upskilling and continuous learning. Given your current profile, I'd recommend giving one serious CAT attempt** before deciding to pivot.
