NMAT 2026 retake registration and scheduling are open until 17 December 2026

If you have already taken NMAT by GMAC this cycle and want to improve your score, the retake window is open. Retake registration runs from 3 November 2026 to 17 December 2026, and retake scheduling runs over the same dates. Rescheduling an existing appointment is also available until 17 December 2026.

The NMAT exam delivery window runs from 2 November 2026 to 20 December 2026, so any retake must be scheduled inside that window. You may take the NMAT exam a maximum of three times in a testing cycle, which includes your first attempt plus up to two retakes, and a retake must be scheduled for a date at least 15 days after your previous attempt.

Fees: a retake costs INR 3,000 plus applicable taxes. Rescheduling costs INR 1,200 plus applicable taxes. Additional score reports beyond the first five cost INR 400 each plus applicable taxes.

GMAC advises booking early, because exam slots are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Remember also that registering for the NMAT exam is separate from applying to B-schools; you must apply to each programme individually, and their deadlines and score-acceptance policies differ.
