Selection

LPU publishes no weights between the entrance test, the video essay and the interview: a candidate who qualifies LPUNEST (or holds a CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT score) is shortlisted for the interview on the video essay, and must qualify both the video essay and the interview to be admitted.

Entrance test: LPUNEST or a CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT score. The LPUNEST score also sets the scholarship on the programme fee
Video essay: a two-minute recorded introduction covering the candidate's career goals and reasons for choosing the MBA, marked out of 100 (communication 75, structure and organisation 10, professionalism 15)
Interview: with faculty of the School of Business, by video call under LPU's interview guidelines, marked out of 100 (communication 50, career orientation and goals 35, general awareness 15); each candidate also speaks for a minute on an assigned topic
Scholarships: an LPUNEST score above a category cut-off, or 70% or more in graduation, takes 30% to 70% off the semester programme fee for applicants in the first phase (until 25 April), with smaller shares in later phases; LPU also lists scholarships for national-test scores and for work experience

About LPU

Lovely Professional University was established in 2005 by an Act of the Punjab legislature, and its Mittal School of Business runs a two-year, full-time MBA at the university's campus on the Jalandhar–Delhi G.T. Road at Phagwara, Punjab. Candidates are admitted through LPUNEST, the university's own entrance test, or a CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT score, followed by a video essay and an interview. The university also runs specialised and industry-collaborative MBAs, among them International Business, Hospital and Healthcare Management, Business Analytics and Financial Markets.
