NMAT 2026 registration closes 10 October; exam window runs 2 November to 20 December
GMAC has confirmed 10 October 2026 as the last date to register for NMAT in India. You can take the test up to three times in the window.
NMAT by GMAC registration for the 2026-27 cycle opened on 20 August 2026 and closes on 10 October 2026 for candidates in India.
Test scheduling stays open slightly longer, from 20 August to 22 October 2026, and the exam itself is delivered between 2 November and 20 December 2026. You choose your own date and time slot.
Registration costs Rs 3,000 excluding taxes. A retake is another Rs 3,000, rescheduling is Rs 1,200, and sending your score to colleges beyond your first five choices costs Rs 400 each.
The test has three equally weighted sections — Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning — with 36 questions each and 120 minutes in total. You can attempt the sections in any order. There is no negative marking. Scores range from 36 to 360, and you get an unofficial score immediately, with the official score within 48 hours.
You may take the NMAT up to three times in a testing year, with a gap of at least 15 days between attempts. The score is valid for one application cycle only.
NMAT is accepted by 56 business schools in India, including ISB, SPJIMR, NMIMS and K J Somaiya. In India you can take it at test centres in more than 80 cities.
